Boba Wrap Review: Babywearing

Boba Wrap Review: Babywearing

Babywearing (wearing or carrying your infant/newborn with the aid of a carrying device) has been practiced for centuries, I read that somewhere on Wikipedia.  I took part in that practice pretty quick, I knew I was going to practice babywearing while pregnant.

I did some research and I just couldn’t find something that was both comfortable and affordable.

Like it happens to most of us and our constantly aware devices, I got an ad on Instagram from Boba.

I clicked around and they had wonderful reviews but the prices were a little too steep for me, considering how much money it takes to raise these babies.

Then I come across this gem… the Boba Baby Wrap

Boba Wrap Grey Facts

It is a whopping $40, and I bit the bullet, and once it was delivered I was beyond stoked. The fabric, the feel, the quality! It was perfect and exactly what I was looking for.

This Boba Baby Wrap is the softest and stretchiest wrap, it cradles a baby and supports their weight for up to 35 lbs.

It is made from 95 percent French Terry Cotton and spandex. Stretches in every direction which makes it super comfortable while supporting baby bodies.

The fact that it is stretchy makes it one size fits all, so it works for all mommy bodies and baby bodies.

It is also machine washable, and able to go in the dryer on low or tumble dry.

How To Wear Boba Baby Wrap

I had to watch a couple of videos to get the hang of it but once I did, I was a pro!

Here is a quick little video tutorial from Wild Was Mama on How To Wear a Boba Stretchy Wrap with a Newborn.

Benefits of Babywearing

Babywearing is a wonderful practice and it not only benefits newborns and infants alike but it also works wonders for a parent. Mother and father can benefit greatly from babywearing.

Benefits of Babywearing For Mommas + Pappas

  • Promotes Bonding
  • Hands-free parenting: it helps you get things done while your baby is nestled to your chest or back.

Benefits of Babywearing For Babies

  • Like skin to skin, babywearing offers most of the same benefits:
  • Breastfeeding
  • Regulates Temperature
  • Soothes: babywearing is known for calming babies and making them less fussy which in turn means a less stressed newborn.
  • Reduces Crying
  • Awareness: while parents wear their babies, it gives them a wealth of experience in social interactions and helps them see the world around them.
  • Healthy: prevents flat-head syndrome, helps with colic and reflux as well as develop strength and control over certain muscles that aid in balance.

My daughter started sitting straight and holding her head up before she was six months old.

I can tell you honestly that babywearing was the best way to get things done while getting snuggle-time with my daughter. It is an easy way to hold on to our little ones close and also cook or fold laundry.

I don’t know what would have happened or how I would have managed to keep a house clean and a happy, calm newborn.

The Boba Baby Wrap is also a great addition to your baby registry.
